Library cards are issued to residents of Thetford and surrounding towns. Each library card has an identification number allowing the holder to check out library books at Latham and Peabody libraries, as well as download audio and e-books. Library cards remain active for five years.
Materials available for check-out include books, periodicals, audiobooks, and movies on DVD. Books and audiobooks are lent for four weeks; new books and audiobooks and periodicals are lent for two weeks. Movies are lent for three days. If we do not have an item you are looking for we offer Interlibrary Loan services. Please inquire with the Librarian for more information on ILL.
Latham Library has nine computers, including two laptops, for use by patrons during library hours. Internet access is available round-the-clock with wireless access in the library’s parking lot when the building is closed.
Copier and Printer/Fax
A copier and printer/fax machine are available to patrons during library hours. Copies and printouts cost 15 cents per page. Faxes are 50 cents per page.
Latham Library has museum passes that can be checked out for up to three days. These allow free or reduced admission to many museums and parks in Vermont. Check the Museum Pass page to see what is available.
