Kurt Valenta of EXORDIUM will present a hands-on science workshop, “The Story of Air as it Occupies Space.” A cornucopia of science experiments demonstrating that air, though invisible, does occupy space. For young and old, but best for ages 5 and up.
Jacqueline Soule presents PLANT UNIVERSE! Come learn about biospheres then make your own to take home. Best for ages 5 and up. “We will discuss how people could feed themselves if they lived in outer space all the time, or on the moon. Discussion will introduce the concept of biospheres and nutrient cycles. Dr. Soule will demonstrate biospheres – then everyone makes one themselves to take home.”

“Stories of the Stars: Myths of the Zodiac” with astromythologist and storyteller KELLEY HUNTER. The starry sky is a library of tales from around the world. Come hear classic and unusual tales about the twelve Zodiac constellations, plus the magical 13th constellation. Which story is yours? Best for ages 8 and up.
Children who recorded at least three books in a reading log this summer are invited to this party, where they will receive a certificate and a prize for completing the summer reading program. Refreshments will be served.
