This scholarship will be awarded to a person or persons who will graduate from a secondary school and has/have been accepted to an accredited college or university for enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program. Applicants must be a current resident of Thetford and have been a resident for at least one year. Applicants must follow a Liberal Arts course of study, other than Education, with preference given to students who intend to pursue a course of study in the field of Language, History, Music, Art, Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics.

Applicants must demonstrate high scholastic ability (minimum 3.5 grade point average), be of good character and reputation, and be in need of financial assistance. Involvement with Latham Library is helpful. Amount of scholarship will be up to $2000.00 per year, renewable for up to four years. Annual renewal is contingent upon applicant remaining in good standing at his or her college/university and submission of a letter of intent to continue to pursue a degree in liberal arts accompanied by a college transcript.
