Meet the museum’s giant Madagascar hissing cockroaches as they crawl all over us and try to hide up our sleeves. You’ll have a chance to see their extra-long antennae, spiky legs, and hidden heads way up close.
Open to kids in grades 4 and up. Spots are limited, please register by emailing librarian@thetfordlibrary.org
Tech and Textiles at Peabody! Drop in for low-key technology chats and assistance, hang out and craft. Bring your device, your crochet/knitting/felting project, both or neither. It’s a flexible space for anyone looking for company while they create, or help setting up their new tablet, or just wanting someone to explain what exactly is cryptocurrency…I don’t know all the answers, but I love digging into these topics. We can chat while we knit, click around together, and set you up with further resources. And of course, you can also check out books.
Thursdays at Peabody from 1:00-5:00 pm.
Stories, songs and silliness for preschoolers, but all ages are welcome!

What: A playgroup for 0-3ish year olds and their caregivers
Where: Latham Library in Thetford, VT
When: 2nd and 3rd Sundays each month from 1-2 pm
What to know about our group:
Parents/Caregivers with 0-3ish year olds come join us at Latham Library for
short active songs and short books preceded by and followed by social/play
time. No need to leave the room if your little one is being loud (yes even
during books/songs) we don’t mind a bit. Just stay and play!
Think of it as story time for little ones that can’t sit through a board
book.
Come hang out with an awesome group of parents/caregivers and talk about
all things baby/toddler/parenting in a playgroup environment. Come as you
are (yes really, we don’t care if you have not showered in 4 days and are
still in your pajamas)!! Messy hair? We don’t care! New and nervous? We’ve
all been there.
Our group’s primary purpose is to give adults who have littles, a tot
friendly, free and close-by place to go and be with others who are in the
same boat. The littles have fun too, of course.
See you soon!
Latham Library and the Thetford Elder Network invite you to the lower level Community Room for a free Senior Movie Morning.
Large screen presentation, warm and well-ventilated room. Meet some neighbors to enjoy a good movie, to chat and to laugh! No registration, just come!
