Troubleshooting
If you recently lost access to Libby and are being asked to verify your card, follow the steps below.
We recently moved to a new online system and had to implement longer card numbers. We have merged the new number into your existing Libby card to preserve your checkouts and holds, but you will need to verify the card to get back in.
- Open your Libby app.
- Click the menu button (three stacked lines).
- There should be a message about needing to verify your card. Click that message.
(Alternatively, you can navigate there by clicking Menu button, then Manage cards.) - For your card number, enter 2050750000 followed by your four-digit card number.
- For your password, the default is the last four digits of the phone number on file for your library card.
- Click Log in.
If you are still having trouble, contact the librarians for help.
New Libby Users – How To Sign Up
- Although access is possible through the libbyapp.com website, we recommend downloading the Libby app for the best user experience. It is available for many devices and operating systems, and can be installed and synced on multiple devices at once. Search for it where you normally download apps.
- Once you’ve downloaded Libby, open the app and click the “hamburger” menu (three stacked lines), and click “Add Library”.
- Search for Green Mountain Library Consortium (GMLC). Click it to add.
- Click the “hamburger” menu > Manage Cards.
- Click “Add card”.
- Select Latham Library from the list.
- For your card number, enter 2050750000 followed by your four-digit card number.
- For your password, enter the password you use to login to our online catalog. By default, it will be the last four digits of the phone number on file for your account. If you have any trouble, reach out to the librarians for help.
- You should be ready to search and borrow!
