St. Patrick’s Concert Coming Up

Area musician and teacher Samanntha Moffatt has been entertaining folks with Irish-flovored music at the Peabody Library every St. Patricks Day for the past twenty years. With her hammered dulcimer, chromatic accordion and vocals, Samantha usually invites other musicians as guests, and this year is no exception– she will be joined by québéquois accordionist, Clément D. His traditional, 3-row French-style accordion is designed for the gavottes, bourrées and rondeaux that he plays with style and verve. These two musicians are developing a duo repertoire to take on tour this summer in Canada’s Maritime provinces: so if you are free, come out to see their first public appearance and enjoy some enlivening Breton, Irish and French folk music. (Entry free of charge, families welcome, refreshments!)
