Thetford resident Ginger Wallis will read from her new book, A Gentle and Curious Path.

Too many people get diagnosed with cancer.  A Gentle and Curious Path is the author’s way of reaching out to people who are newly diagnosed, their friends and family, or people who like true stories and wisdom.  The author learned from others who’d gone on the journey before her, elders, and wise books to gain tools for dealing with fear, worry, or for perseverance and acceptance.  Natural history is woven throughout the book from her daily (well almost daily) walks and from her background teaching environmental education and middle school biology.  Hers is a story with openness, humor, natural history, adversity, and wisdom.  Hers is a heart and mind that seem to encompass everything: challenges, humor, confusion, information, and joy.
